Agent Warm receives a stern telling-off from The Chief
Another thrilling and exciting extract from my series of spy novels featuring Secret Agent Luke Warm.
Luke Warm entered the MI6 office, causing the heads of female clerks and typists to turn in his direction. This was not unusual – Luke frequently attracted lustful glances from women (and some men), but this time it was different. The office workers immediately began whispering to one-eachother:
“Did you hear what happened in Paris?”
“The Chief is angry about what happened Paris.”
“I can’t believe what happened in Paris.”
“He’s in big trouble over what happened in Paris.”
“The Chief is furious about what happened in Paris.”
“The Chief is not happy about events that took place in Paris.”
Luke ignored the whispers and continued towards The Chief’s office. He walked deliberately, like a panther. He opened the door to the pre-office reception bit that The Chief’s secretary sat in, and closed it behind him skilfully.
“Luke! Where on earth have you been?”
“Much too far from you, Miss Bosomby,” he replied. They then engaged in some flirtatious banter (in which she chided him for not bringing her bac…
