A portrait of the author as an author

As a Serious Literary Author (SLA) with over forty social media followers and over twenty ‘Liked’ book reviews on Goodreads, I am all too familiar with the burden of fame. Whilst perhaps not an A-lister such as Thomas Cruise or Harry Style, I am, at the very least, an SLA-lister such as Tolstoy or Proust. (I have been referred to as the British Proust, or ‘Broust’.) Since I am so áù fâǐt with the ins, outs, ups, downs and acrosses of SLA-brity life, I am well-placed to offer advice on surviving them. So, if ever you find yourself thrust head-first into the Literary Limelight, I strongly suggest using these words as your navigation guide.
